Who we are

WasteMatrix is a product of AgriDigital Ltd (the "data controller"). For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are responsible for the personal data we collect through this website.

What data we collect

The only personal data we actively collect through this website is the information you provide when you submit our demo request form:

• Your first and last name
• Your work email address
• Your company name
• The type of operation you run (e.g. waste transfer station, MRF, etc.)
• Any optional message you choose to include

We also automatically receive standard server log data when you visit any website — including yours: your IP address, the browser you're using, the page you visited, and the time of the visit. This is held by our hosting provider for short periods for security and operational reasons. We do not actively process or analyse this log data unless we need to investigate a security incident.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We collect demo request data for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and arrange a product demonstration. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR for this is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, the legitimate interest of a business responding to a direct enquiry from a potential customer.

If, after our initial response, you ask us to add you to a marketing list or send you regular updates, that further processing would be based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies — small data files that are essential for the site to function. Specifically:

• Form security: When you use the demo request form, the site temporarily stores a timestamp and a small CAPTCHA value to protect against automated spam submissions. This data is held only for the duration of your visit.

We do not use:

• Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics
• Advertising cookies or remarketing trackers
• Social media tracking pixels
• Cross-site tracking of any kind

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we are not legally required to display a cookie consent banner under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can read the Information Commissioner's Office guidance on this at ico.org.uk.

We do verify ownership of this site with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. These services do not set cookies on your device when you visit our site — they only let us see how Google and Bing index our pages.

How long we keep your data

If you submit a demo request and we don't end up working together, we'll keep your enquiry data for up to 24 months in case you re-contact us, after which we'll delete it.

If you become a customer, we'll keep your data for the duration of our commercial relationship and for up to seven years after that, in line with normal UK business and tax record-keeping requirements.

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will (subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records).

Who we share your data with

We don't sell your data. Ever. We share it only with the limited set of service providers we need to run the business:

• Our hosting provider: Currently 34SP.com, a UK-based hosting company, who host this website and our email infrastructure.
• Our email provider: We use standard email services to receive and respond to your enquiries.
• Stripe: If you become a paying customer, payment data is processed by Stripe — a regulated payment provider — under their own privacy policy. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
• UK regulators or law enforcement: Only where we are legally required to disclose data (for example, in response to a valid court order).

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or European Economic Area for any routine business purpose. Stripe operates internationally, but their UK GDPR compliance and data transfer mechanisms are documented in their own privacy policy.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• Right of access — you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct any data that is wrong or incomplete
• Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to stop using your data while a query is resolved
• Right to data portability — you can ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interest, including for direct marketing
• Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

How we keep your data secure

We take data security seriously. Our website runs over HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate. Our hosting provider operates from UK-based data centres. Form submissions are protected by anti-spam measures (a honeypot field, time-trap, and a simple CAPTCHA). Access to the underlying systems and data is restricted to the people who need it to run the business.

If we ever became aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we would notify the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours where required, and notify you directly if the breach was likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms.

Children's data

This website and our products are aimed at businesses and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example, if we change how we collect or use data, or to reflect updates to UK data protection law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will tell you when the policy was last revised. If we make any material changes, we will draw attention to them on the homepage.
